In the late 1980s, while we still worked in environments such as MS-DOS, BASIC, COBOL, Fortran, dBase III, or WordStar, Clipper Summer87 emerged: a new way to build software—more powerful, more approachable, and more focused on delivering real solutions.
I was part of that moment.
Independently, I developed one of the first electronic agendas in Uruguay for Federal Express, at a time when solutions like Lotus were common in the United States.
It was an era where “typing code” meant building from scratch. At the same time, I was part of the birth of a leading company, “Memory Computación,” where a key chapter began in understanding how businesses work, as a Functional Analyst. Every company, a world of its own.
Then came the chapter of sharing knowledge: I had the privilege of teaching in the Systems Analyst program at the Universitario Autónomo del Sur (today part of UDE).
Today, that same vision evolves into a new chapter: building intelligent business engines powered by artificial intelligence, data, and strategy.
We are not looking to simply adapt to change, but to understand it earlier—and turn it into concrete opportunities for those who want to stay one step ahead.
